You may have noticed several posts in your Facebook feed about the upcoming lunar eclipse with the full snow moon on Friday, February 10/11 at 4:33 pm PT, 0:33 UTC. It will be followed as always by a solar eclipse on New Moon 26th Feb.. Interestingly, their influences can be felt a few days before, but their effects can actually last for months before and after.
From a higher conscious perspective, we know we create our own reality. However, I also believe there is sentient consciousness in everything. We can choose to tune into their higher frequency energies and if they resonate we can choose to utilize the forces offered by these celestial events to create our reality. Remember you no longer attract any denser aspects because you are resonating at such a high vibrations.
So, what will you choose to magnify? Eclipses are thought to allow deep transformation and change, making them ideal for giving a kick-start to creating new habits. If the energy from any changes you initiated as part of your year of new beginnings has waned this eclipse can give you a renewed sense of purpose as the universe lends a helping hand.
In addition to the alignment of the sun, earth and moon which will create this penumbral partial lunar eclipse, this moon is aligned in a star shape with other planets which brings harmony, divine synchronicities, balance and good fortune in outcomes of events in your life. You may find you feel a certainty about the decisions and choices you make.
Look to see what area of your life your attention is being drawn to. Where are your passions? This may give you a clue for your focus for change for the better or enhancement of what’s already flowing.
Your divine All-seeing eye is invoking wisdom, and awareness. Your passions are being activated. Your higher mind and heart can be connecting to the universe making the world a better place by being a positive influence. This eclipse is in the sign of Leo, which is the archetype of the Inner child. So as you create your reality you may want to use the mediums of play, dance, art and song,
In terms of what you’ll actually see, you won’t notice much of a difference if you are in a place and time to observe the moon, just a bit of a lighter grey colour. It’s the energy you want to tune into.
There will also be a comet passing by a few hours later. Comet 45P, which has been visible thru telescopes after sunset since December makes its closest approach to Earth.
It will appear in the east around midnight PT Friday night. It will be visible in the sky in the constellation Hercules. Although NASA reports it will be visible to the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope could be helpful. It will have a bright blue-green "head" with a tail.
I found a great article which looked at comets from a higher conscious perspective. Rod Chang refutes the notion that comets are symbols of disaster. He noted in 2014 that “As comets warm, they release gases, but what does this represent? The release of ideas and emotions?”
He goes on to write “We surely have to notice that what we release is not only emotions but also gases. What are gases? Thoughts, ideas and views….what get released when comets appear are ideas that are new and innovative….Interestingly, ‘to release’ could also mean ‘to be freed’.”
He cites several areas where major dense beliefs were shifted and laws changed and also new inventions were released by Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs and others during the times comets were passing by earth. Chang writes about how we can look at new life and new positive issues arising out of chaos which may act as catalysts for change.
Another celestial event occurring now, Jupiter is retrograde for the next 4 months, bringing us a bit of respite. Quiet and peace are more easily obtained and you have an opportunity to reflect and play with trying on new and different perspectives about what’s happening in your life and in the world. You can play the “What if Something Good is happening game.”
Friday itself is influenced by the Mayan star glyph “EB” which of course synchonistically boosts the energies of the eclipse and comets. Rod Chang mentions the Chinese call comets the broom star. The Mayan Oracle by Ariel Spilsbury and Micheal Bryner says EB in common Mayan usage represent broom or grass.
From a higher perspective EB is the grail, “a luxuriant emptiness and passionate abundance…sending the golden vortex of galactic gifts…..transcendent bliss and pure consciousness merged…omnipotent being. It is the pleasure of heaven to fill you to overflowing with your heart’s desire…Rejoice at the ease with which the alchemical transmutation takes place turning baser materials into gold. It is already so. You are in this moment the golden fruits of loves harvest to come.”
I would suggest you contemplate the potential of this eclipse and feel this message from the Mayan Oracle as you choose what you wish to change or enhance in your Divine reality and share it to the world.
