I so enjoy the process of creating a Divine U. academy blog post. If an idea for the Divine You blog hasn’t sparked during the week, the night before I write, I ask for an idea to germinate while I sleep.
This morning I awoke with the word Penance. In the beginning of my blogging explorations I probably would have dismissed the word thinking it was not relevant to divine higher conscious living. Now, I am always intrigued to follow the clue and see what magic and synchronicities unfold as it reveals its intent.
Today I thought I would look up the antonym – perhaps that would give me a clue. On my way to do that I was called to look at my Facebook feed and the first thing there was a wonderful reflection by wise woman Sharon Lyn Shepard. (I’ll share it in a bit). It reminded me of a teaching by a spiritual mentor early on my path about recapitulation – in the context he explained it - returning in this life to the geographical location of past lives to reintegrate or recover the energy lost in those experiences and move on. However, I thought I would explore that concept further to see if there was more to it than I had originally thought.
So I got back to looking up penance and saw it included the concept of atonement. AH HA, I resonated with that! The higher octave of this is At-One-Ment….. knowing our oneness with All That IS.
Google also offered a link to the theory of atonement which included a recapitulation theory.
And recapitulation offered several other jumping off points that led to unity, wholeness and evolution.
My soul danced with delight at how this was coming together. Yee Ha! So now I had several pieces. Lets see how another Divine Living puzzle comes together.
So to quickly consider and dispatch Penance as regret for wrongdoings. This isn’t a resonant match for divine living for several reasons. First, in a 3D paradigm I believe most people do the best we can at the time, so it isn’t productive to consider our actions as wrong. We may make choices we regret later based on hindsight, or new realizations as we awaken.
When we live in higher frequencies, or from a higher paradigm of pure consciousness there is no concept of right and wrong. As I’ve written before there are no dualities and anything of dense vibration does not exist. It was of passing interest that the literature suggested there really wasn’t an antonym or opposite for penance. No dualities here.
So let’s contemplate At-one-ment. I suggest you breathe and feel into this word. I get a sense of arms enfolding me and a feeling of deep peace and being home. At the same time I feel expanded as I become One with All That IS.
What is your experience of this concept?
My feeling was similar to how I experienced Sharon Lyn Shepard’s Facebook reflection. She writes:
"What a sacred journey
collecting all the kaleidoscope pieces
all the aspects of myself
that have separated off
to experience every possible
nuance of life.
Each one buried deep within
needing to be resurrected
held, nurtured and loved
after being shattered and bruised
by the throngs of life thrown at it
through duality’s door.
Each piece with its vast experience
has been gathered back home
embodied in the womb of the heart
enlivened by the spark of creation
to embrace its divine birthright
held in escrow by the universe.
And thus, my BeLoveds
we are once again whole and complete
sparkling brightly in harmony and unison
as the master creators of a new earth
come into being with new juicy passion
to birth new visions made manifest
with our newfound joy and freedom.

This also speaks to me of recapitulation. From my perspective, the article which summarized the recapitulation theory of atonement represents living the life we were originally intended to live, as our human existence is restored to its original Divine condition. It’s about reconnecting to our divine nature and to Source in us.
I springboarded to a higher aspect of recapitulation from another outdated viewpoint - that as embryos we develop in the same way the human species evolved. Although I have written that I believe that when you live as the Divine You, you can supercede evolution, I found a perspective on evolution that appeals to me. Dr. Richard Jelusich, a spiritual teacher who I greatly admire, describes evolution in this golden age of inner transformation as:
“ the constantly enacted externalization of your soul quality to raise your Consciousness to higher levels of awareness - revealing the unity of all things and thus overcoming the illusion of Separation that causes so much suffering”.
How Can I Use This?
How can you use this to enhance your Divine experience of the life you were intended to live?
Sharon Lyn Shepard refers to being whole and complete. I suggest you use her words to guide you to Re – member yourself as your Divine Source being.
Dr Jelusich asks, and I echo: Are you ready to see yourself in this light? That you are an active engaged collaborator of your own evolution.
Or. I add, perhaps go even further and transcend the need to evolve; supersede the awemazing life you have already been living and trust in the impossible, in the miraculous, in the fantastical options that you have never conceived of.
Get into a flow state.
As I said in my Transform or Transcend blog
“Take what you know as a Divine Human, all the energy of your studies, practices and comprehensive knowing, add your god-potency, condense it into a single powerful burst and release it. Thats it. Then continue to live in the enchantment bubble in whatever divine reality calls to you and enjoy the wellbeing and fulfillment of your transcendent life.”
Sending my gratitude to the flow energies and synchronicities that inspired and unfolded today’s Divine You contemplations……
Namaste. In Lak Ech (I AM You) with love.
